Anime Expo 2019 & Their Exclusives!

It’s getting to be that time, y’all… That time where you get together with your pals to watch fireworks take over the sky in celebration of the biggest event of the summer. That’s right… ✨ANIME EXPO✨! July 4th is quickly approaching, and so is the biggest anime convention in the US! And as the biggest convention, not only will it hold world premieres and exclusive events, but there are those sweet, sweet convention exclusive items you can ONLY buy at Anime Expo.

 

But what kind of exclusives will we see there? And which booths will you be able to buy them from? Worry not, dear readers; this is your handy dandy guide to Anime Expo exclusives along with other essential info for attendees. I’ve done these guides for 2015, 2016, 2017, and now I’m back for 2019! Let’s see what goodies we can expect for this year’s Anime Expo!

 

NOTE: Keep in mind that at this time many companies exhibiting at Anime Expo have yet to reveal their sales menu, so this post will be updated many times as more info gets revealed. Some of the info appear as close to the event as possible, so keep checking back for the latest news!

Anime Expo 2016 and Their Exclusives!

It’s that magical time of the year, ya’ll…Anime Expo time! 🎉  Anime Expo is famous for having several exclusive merchandise that people can buy from certain booths in the convention’s dealer’s room, along with having exclusive events that people can attend. Just like last year, I’ve compiled information of the announced exclusive merchandise along with other essential information for con-goers have handy while at the event. Winter Wonder Festival 2016 – Elly’s Picks!

It was a magical time for figure collectors on the first weekend of February; Wonder Festival time was upon us once more! ✨ Wonder Festival (or WonFes for short) is a semi-annual event where people can showcase their garage kits and even sell a limited amount of them. But wait, there’s MORE! Not only are garage kits showcased, but major figure companies make an appearance to announce new figures that are going to be released soon along with showing some of the prototypes. Figure collectors around the world talked about this winter’s event with their favorite picks that they want to add to their collections, so I’d like to do the same. Cynthia Nendoroid Now on US Pokemon Center Webshop!

Quite awhile ago, back in February, the Cynthia Nendoroid was announced to be released as an exclusive to Pokemon Center shops in Japan and then on Amazon.jp. Several other independent shops like the Sunyshore Pokemart were able to secure some units for sale, making the Nendoroid slightly easier to obtain…but, the units up for sale online were not many. And so, a lot of fans were left without a chance to get the elusive Cynthia Nendoroid.

Introducing Orange Rouge: A New Brand Dedicated to Male Characters!

Some exciting news for figure collectors, especially those who collect male figures!  Goodsmile Company and Max Factory have combined their forces to bring us a new figure line dedicated to male characters called Orange Rouge! Though I question why a different brand was needed for male figures rather than just simply producing those products under the normal brand, this at least highlights that they recognize that there is a demand for male characters merchandise, and they’re planning to meet that demand.
