Welcome to Figuratively Speaking! I’m Elly/Nicole, a Puerto Rican girl living in the Sunshine state! I’ve done a multitude of work ranging from working at Gamestop, being a tutor & TA at one of the nation’s top 50 colleges, doing PR, Marketing & Customer Service at Sekai Project, Mastiff and LionWing Publishing, along with some counseling for Otusun Land, and now writing social media video scripts, features articles and editing for Crunchyroll. I’m looking forward to what the future holds! As for hobbies, I’ve loved video games since I was a kid and it’s amazing to see how much they’ve evolved throughout the years. My top favorite types of games to play are otome games, RPGs, fighting games and action games! Besides gaming, I enjoy dancing, writing, listening to music for what seems an endless amount of hours, wrestling, binge-watching shows on Netflix and Crunchyroll, Korean beauty products, cute anime guys and cats.
Figuratively Speaking started out as a place for me to talk about my love of anime/game figures and plushies, but it then evolved to have otome games take the center stage. It was an unintended happening, yet one that made this blog blossom into such a way. Another evolution to Figuratively Speaking happened, making it a place where I talk about not only figures, hobby related goods and otome games, but anime, manga and other video games I happen to really like as well. I hope y’all tag along for the ride!
