Introducing Orange Rouge: A New Brand Dedicated to Male Characters!
Some exciting news for figure collectors, especially those who collect male figures! Goodsmile Company and Max Factory have combined their forces to bring us a new figure line dedicated to male characters called Orange Rouge! Though I question why a different brand was needed for male figures rather than just simply producing those products under the normal brand, this at least highlights that they recognize that there is a demand for male characters merchandise, and they’re planning to meet that demand.

Emma Manga Resurfaces With the Help Of Yen Press!
Having read a vast amount of manga and owning quite the library of them, there are a lot of titles that I enjoy, but few that I praise and recommend for people to read. Emma is one of those titles. Kaoru Mori manages to recreate 1890’s London with an incredible amount of detail and research of that time period. The amount of love that Mori has that time period and maids definitely shows in Emma.

It’s time for Visual Novel May!
In an attempt to get more people to play through their backlog of games, the lovely Anne from Chic-Pixel has organized a year-long event composed of different game genres themes each month called the Community Game-Along. Each month a new theme starts, and players can join in playing titles of that particular genre. It’s a really neat concept that not only allows you to get through your huge backlog of games, but encourages people to talk about their progress on Twitter using the various hashtags per theme! I’ve decided to join in this month, since it’s Visual Novel May and I definitely have a lot of visual novel games that I hadn’t really played.

Gift’s Early Summer Campaign to start soon!
Gift’s online shop’s sale event is about to begin real soon, so it’s time to prepare your wallets! A quick update though: Gift tweeted a few days ago that they have added a new plush to the list of items that are going to be on sale…the Mikazuki Munechika plush!
Yes, our dear jiji plush will be available for order as part of the Early Summer Campaign! I’m pretty psyched for this, as are many other fans, especially since it was unknown whether this plush was going to be an exclusive to some other event or released normally on shops like AmiAmi. It would be nice if they would release it normally, but knowing how Gift works, it would mostly likely be a webshop exclusive.

Gift’s Early Summer Campaign!
Gift tweeted early yesterday that they will be holding an online sale event called the Early Summer Campain. The event will be open online from May 15th to May 25th, where people will be able to purchase select exclusive goods from Gift. If you spend over 10,000 yen, shipping will be free, which is pretty nice. This event introduces some new items that haven’t been available before along with some re-releases, so if you’re a fan of Gift’s plushies, it’s worth it to order some of their webshop-exclusive plushies!
There are plenty of items to choose from, but these are the ones I think are worth noting!
Otomate’s Hakuoki Finally on Mobile Devices!
Last week, Gloczus finally released Otomate’s Hakuoki on mobile devices for the US and Canada! Fans all over rejoiced after having waited for a long time for a more portable way to play Hakuoki without having the actual gaming consoles the games were originally released on. This particular release comes with an exclusive unlockable tea ceremony chapter (already unlocked in the Premium Edition) that fans that have already played the game before may want to play through, since what happens in that chapter is pretty cute!

Anticipated Upcoming Nendoroids: Sculpts Revealed!
In the last few months when the winter Wonder Festival (or Wonfes for short) was being held, quite a few nendoroids were announced to be released later on. Now, the actual sculpts of some of them are slowly being revealed. The ones that have been shown are ones that I’ve really been looking forward to!
