Meet the Amnesia: Memories Bachelors!

With the release of Idea Factory International’s Amnesia: Memories coming up in August 25th, otome game fans are excited to finally get an official release of the game to play, enjoy and support. Which guy will you be pursuing? Here’s a quick look of the cast that you’re able to interact with! Shin

Shin

Shin is the heroine’s childhood friend; they’ve been together for as long as they can remember. He’s been burdened to carry the weight of his father’s accident, involuntary manslaughter, since childhood. Because of that, people have distanced themselves from him, which made Shin’s personality more abrasive than other people his age. Even though he has his dark past, he does a great deal for those he cares for, especially the heroine! Will you let this blunt yet earnest guy into your life?

Toma

Toma

Toma is another of the heroine’s childhood friend, along with Shin. He calls himself the heroine’s and Shin’s “big brother”, often offering support when they need it. Toma has always kept a close eye on the heroine…but is it as a “big brother” like he says it is, or is it because he has other feelings towards her? His over-protectiveness, in severe situations, can make his mental state incredibly unstable, which leads him to do actions that not many may approve of. Even so, his actions are out of concern. Will you let this affectionate and intense guy protect you?

Ikki

Ikki

Ikki seems to be a complete playboy, but he is actually kind and attentive. When he was a child, he made the wish of becoming popular with girls on a shooting star. To his surprise, it came true; once girls looked into his eyes, they’d fall in love with him. Along with that appeared the inability to truly connect with anyone. As time went on, Ikki thought of it being a curse for having wished for such a thing. His interest in the heroine is due to his eyes not having an effect on her. Will you let this alluring and fascinating guy sweep you off your feet?

Kent

Kent

Kent is a mathematics graduate student with a very intellectual mindset, which has him look at every situation from a logical point of view. He will try to logically examine and explain phenomena that has no real proof. Kent will often have people rephrase themselves in a more logical way that he can clearly understand. For him, his friends and their actions are his subjects that he closely examines. Will you be a part of this logical yet cool guy’s examination?

Ukyo

Ukyo

Ukyo is quite the mysterious man; no one knows where he came from, yet he seems to know and recognize every one of them. At some points, he will offer words of advice to the heroine and others, which often leaves them wondering how he knew of certain events. Sometimes Ukyo seems like a nice guy…but other times he seems to be aggressive. Just who is he and what is his objective? Will you be able to solve the mystery of this sweet yet dangerous guy?

With an interesting cast of characters, Amnesia: Memories is not a otome game to be missed! You can pre-order the Limited Edition set with the Steam code for $54.98, or you can opt to just get the Remnants of Love keepsake box for $39.99. Idea Factory International also announced that Amnesia: Memories will also be released on mobile devices thanks to Gloczus!

Idea Factory International even had a call for a closed beta testing! It seems like they really want to connect and get feedback from otome game fans so we can perhaps get more and more otome games in the future. Along with the closed beta, they’ve been running contests on their Facebook page, which have had a tremendous amount of participation. There’s one still active contest that you can still apply to: the Dream Proposal contest. Apply to get a chance to win some great prizes! Follow Idea Factory International on Twitter and Facebook, for all the latest updates, and make sure to tell them of other otome games to possibly bring over. With the amount of support that Amnesia: Memories is getting, I’m sure they’ll be listening to fans!

Until next time, happy gaming!

  1. Hate how the limited edition doesn’t include a psn code but oh well can’t complain since it’s rare to even get an otome game. Already bought mine for the Vita, as well as preordred Norn9 and Code Realize. I am beyond desperate lol for otome games to come out. I sincerely wish more people buy these games to show there’s a market here.

    1. Yeaahhh, a bit peeved at that too, but make sure to let Idea Factory International know what is best for future otome game releases. This is their first English-translated otome game release, so they want to test the waters. They’re listening to feedback!

The Vita is just so appealing for VNs; I love curling up in bed while playing or playing while I’m on a trip. It’s just so nice to have! 🙂 I can’t wait for Norn9 and Code Realize, so I’m going to talk about those plenty when they near release dates! :3 I’m just really happy that we’re getting a true chance at playing and supporting otome games. Hopefully this will mean more will come in the future!

      1. It seems like they were playing it safe in case things weren’t successful…but that’s an underestimation on their part and now they surely know better! I certainly believe that this is just the beginning of the otome game wave. If we support all of these releases, more will make their way here. The numbers for otome game players is growing pretty quickly, so it’d be foolish to ignore that! I say….let it rain otome games! I’ll get them all~
